I guess we'll never get mtn-man to the mountains. Wink
Have just gotten approval for a new multi cache in/around Helen (Unicoi). (Thanx, Erik) See Helendorff
Like Da Rebels, I will give the final location to those that attend the GGA Jaunt, since it is so close to event time.
Happy hunting and see ya in the morn.

Sorry, but I had been plotting and planning with JoGPS for a while about getting to this meeting. I was flattered that when I got there about 10 to 12 people had "mtn-man" name tags on! They were very funny folks. It was a treat to meet 7 of the top 10 Geocachers in the country. We are going to figure up the total number of found caches represented by cachers attending the meeting. I'm guessing well over 20,000.

Here is the meeting page.
Here are my photos.

Had a great time caching with Amazingracer and Phat.Bak a.k.a.( always up steep hill). His Indian name.
Thanks DaRebel for asking us to coming along and setting this up.

Was able to find a spot to squeeze my tent on in the park! Wink

Even though we didn't make contact with the group, I want to thank you for a great weekend!

I brought the kids up on Sat. and we drove through the park about midday. I figure you all were off hunting at the time since I didn't make radio contact. Since the park didn't have any space, we went down the road about 4 miles to an incredible campsite I had never heard of called Sleepy Hollow. They have a great group area as well as some tent sites so remote that you would have to have coordinates to find them! It is 97 acres with a lake, pond, and stream fishing.

We might want to consider it for a future site. Might even able to hide a cache or two for the day. Plenty of places.
