Hi, on 21st April i am visiting from the UK the GCCC for a week. Any caches i should definately do? I wont have a huge amount of spare time and as yet i do not know my hotel.
Any travel bugs wishing to come over to Europe? Maybe we could rendezvous some place. Any advice greatly received! thanks ps i see there is a cache meet but i think its too far away plus i should be working! |

There are lots of great caches around the Atlanta area and you should have plenty of caching opportunities no matter what part of Atlanta you are staying in. Which caches to recommend will depend on a lot of factors like where you meetings/hotel are, whether you will have a car and how much time you have. Do you know where your meetings are?

GCCC? Did you mean GWCC by chance? If yes, there are several caches within walking distance in Centenial Olympic Park. You could pick them up on a lunchbreak or something.

Yes, just keep us informed of your plans and post the hotel info when you know it. Obviously if you won't have a car, my recommendations would be limited to caches located in nearby areas accessible on foot
But like I said, any of the caches in Centenial Olympic Park would be easy enough for you to get to walking. Most are micros and virtuals though. |

There are also a number of caches around Georgia Tech, which can be reached either by walking or via MARTA train (our version of the Underground). A number of those caches are regular or small caches, and not just micros.
One cache I recommend, if you have time, is the Buckhead Dragon (GC1875). It's fun just for the description. It's a bit further away but easily assessible by MARTA. |
