It would be neat to see all of the pictures from those who've found all of the caches in the State Parks Geo challenge. Hey, maybe even a whole set of '12' for a special GA Geo State Parks Challenge Calendar??

What a fantastic idea, Joe! Would you be willing to facilitate? Maybe give it a few more months, then collect pictures for a vote?

Anyone else want to check on this about if there would be enough interest in submitting pictures and making a purchase of the finished product?

Cache, responsibly.....

Why not just say that this year our in-state calendar will feature scenery near & around the state parks challenge? Put the DNR logo on the cover and ask them to help pay for production, or at least buy a crate or two to stock in park gift shops.

Help Plant Trees in Georgia's State Parks

The Odwalla® Plant a Tree program allows people to donate up to 200,000 trees to local state parks. Go to www.odwalla.com/plantatree, click on Georgia and sign up to plant a tree for free. Odwalla® will allocate a tree to be planted in a Georgia State Park.

Use your Facebook account to let others know, too.

Who will be my contact on this? I think we can move forward, but I was wondering if you need our design expertise or printing contacts for cost efficiency. I do not have final approval - but we want to keep this partnership going and give back for all the volunteer support that GGA has given us. Especially with new GGA members volunteering to teach Geocaching 101 classes in our parks - we are your biggest fans. So let's talk and delegate duties - lemme know how much or how little you want Parks to get involved.

Question: when will the "Men of GGA Calendar" be coming out????

I am available to model anytime, buuuuuuuuuut, Irishgypsy will have to be in attendance.

That said let the steering committee get together and we will find a lead person for you to work with, I'm assuming your talking about a GGA/State Parks calendar in a manner that can prove benificial to all!!

Dale - is this list still accurate?

The DNR has assigned 6 demo state parks around the state:
1. Ft. Yargo
2. Kolomoki
3. Panola
4. Unicoi
5. Skidaway
6. Elijah Clark

Those six parks has one etrex you can use.

Yes, those are the priority parks for the Geocaching 101 classes. My understanding is the other parks may/will have 101 classes as well.

Since I live just a couple of miles away from Panola Mountain State Park I'll gladly help out with the 101 classes if needed.

Even tho it's summer, these are impressive numbers. I wish my hides could reach these levels....
Week 7 average finds/cache rebounded to 4.67 from Week 6's low of 3.83 (due to Father's Day weekend, no doubt). Weekly f/c high is Week 3 with 8.40. Over 7 weeks, each cache has been found 44.17 times!
Note: "bonus" cache finds are not included in this data.
but it's not about the numbers

There are three parks that have expressed GREAT interest in hosting a Geocaching 101 program that do not currently have a volunteer - Moccasin Creek, Skidaway Island and General Coffee. Please let me know if you can/will help out.
