Yes, I would suggest you go in next time. Close only counts in Horseshoes, hand-grenades and geocaching. ~ltblarg

I checked out the library free park pass back in the spring they had extras at my closest library branch because economics caused a few of our county branches to close, so they moved the park passes around. Check with library branches around your county area for them. Did not know about free passes for Zoo Atlanta will also look into those. Would love to see the newest baby Panda Po have not been down there in a long time.

I went ahead and bought the $75 Friends package. We are wanting to try our a Yurt at Ft Yargo, and with this package you get: 2 Auto Passes Pass for up to 6 into Historic Sites 2 $25 credits for camping or Yurts 10% off purchases 10% off lodging So we're getting $50 off the Yurts, which leaves me paying only $25 for the package. We're also planning on going to Unicoi for NYS so that's about $15 or so saved. If you frequent the parks, you definitely want to consider one of the Friends packages.

First thing I did when moving down here to Georgia was buy the annual Park Pass and become a Friends of Georgia Parks member. Although I don't get to use it as much as I would like, it is money well spent in my opinion.
