I should've posted this earlier, but just now kinda got freed up. But I saw a long entry on the event log remarking about heat and suitability for different people to attend.

For those who haven't been to the park, I can shed a little light...

The pavillion is a tad under 100 yards from parking. It's covered but NOT air conditioned. The area around the pavillion is fairly well shaded.

Nearest water fountains and restrooms are back at the parking lot.

The trails are typical city park style, paved for multi-use. Consequently for the most part the trails thru the park are in the sun and will be HOT. If you're doing the caches, especially those deeper in the park, I would recommend taking a bottle of water.

For those with 4 legged friends looking for a good place to cool them down, a creek runs right thru the middle of the park. Nice shaded area at the first bridge over the creek at around a quarter mile from the parking lot.

.

Plus...I'm bringing lots of ice cold water and lemonade plus one heavy duty fan. Probably others will too.

Don't say you can't, say you'll try.
