Holy cow, I can say that I did some spreading of the word at GeoWoodstock and around the area. We flew into Buffalo and did a few earthcaches and then went down to Warren, PA. We found a fair amount of regular to small caches around the area and put one of our super-cool new cards in caches as we found them. At GW, I ended up volunteering as a "floater". We were assigned to help people with the "log" log (was really just a 2 x 14 board). I kept a stack of cards in my hand and I passed them out to people that I met while standing there. You know me, the gift of gab is something I know how to use pretty well. I hit some of the SC and FL folks I knew and some new folks from there that I met and told them to come see us in November. We want MEGA! The cacher cards were a hit in general, so the Waysiders might even be contacted about doing some of those from other cachers. Tina and I raided a certain empty campsite too, and I felt like Robert Duvall/Colonel Kilgore in Apocalypse Now as I put my cards in each of the empty seats there and stuck one to some duck tape holding the Going Coastal flag up on the awning. Ghost

Thanks for doing such a great job on those and it was fun to have something a little different to hand out at GW this year. I've put the cards in caches in Boston, St. Louis, Phoenix and now all around Warren, PA and as we went back to Buffalo to fly home yesterday.

Thanks Greg for your support and spreading the Going Coastal info in the other states and events.

Some (me) have suggested a "Kiss a Wench" booth. Um, haven't found any wench volunteers yet.

I talked with several vendors/sponsors myself & handed out my cards. Off the top of my head I remember Cache Advance, Coins & Pins, and Pathtags. I got a good response from them all & they all hoped they might be able to do something for us & maybe even attend.

On Saturday I had a volunteer shift which encompassed bringing lunch to the vendors & sponsors - I made sure I brought the food to those that had positive responses to Going Coastal - every little bit helps!

LZ33, you might want to hit up the Geocaching Podcast folks and see if they will interview you about Going Coastal.

Yes there is Wink

Geocaching Podcast(based from Michigan with a NC co-host) is just another podcast with a large following as well. I listen to this one more than the Podcacher podcast.

check out this link to The Cache-A-Maniacs. They are a caching couple who also moderate the "Cachers of the Round Table". There are many podcast links at this link.

PS: I dropped off about 20 cards in LA and TX last week while traveling!
