I went out today and replaced Kayak Cache. It is in a different location, although closeby. Previous finders feel free to find and log another smiley. Go get it Slayerette and Allen! Hope you have an easier time on your next attempt.

Is it still on the river on the same island it was before? If so, I might recommend somehow tying it down so that if the water rises again it can't float off ;-)
This one is high and dry. If water gets to this one, we are all in troube. Erik's Kayak Kache is on an island on the Chattahoochee, I believe, but this one is on Lake Lanier, north of Gainesville. It is not on an island, but there is no easier access than by boat.

Ok... I'm asking because iworkhere and I went to hunt Erik's ~Kayak~Kache~ on a river canoeing trip we took earlier this spring, and found that the cache seemed to be missing. Not sure if it is missing, but neither of us could find it.
I'll have to watch the logs for erik's Kayak. I am planning to do a Lanier Lake tour cache-a-thon via water in a couple of weeks when I get the Sunbird cleaned up and ready to go.

what your saying, now. You did look at the topo map. What would you suggest as a rating? 3 1/2? 4? I was hoping that hunters would do it as suggested and paddle the same course as the Olympians.

I just got the notice that you found it today by land. I guess I didn't check it out thoroughly enough, although at least now you don't have to cross private property. (I think) May have to rethink how I rate this one. Hmmmm ... any way to kill the topo link on the cache page without changing the coords
