How is the ice/snow/sleet/rain in your area? Looks like in NE Gwinnett it was mostly sleet overnight and not much ice accumulation on tree limbs and power lines. Still don't think we'll be venturing out today. The roads look slick as snot on a doorknob!

You got more coming your way any time now.
2nd strong round of sleet/freezing rain is ontop of NW Atl at the moment. We have about 1/4" of sleet/Ice on the deck & roads in our subdivision. Not much on trees or powerlines, but the worst is yet to come throughout the day. This isn't supposed to taper off until overnight tonight. I don't think anyone will be going anywhere till tomorrow. |

Mark January 29th as a non-geocaching day. I doubt we'll see any posted finds for today unless someone walked to a cache.

We'll sure see. I know that the treet out front of my house doesn't look too bad, but my sister was required to come into work today at the cobb emergency vet clinic, and she apparently arrived there really shaken up. I have a 4wd vehicle, so it'll be a little more safe for me, but still... I have no interest in unnecessarily endangering myself.

A few pics from a cold trip I made around the house this morning.
bigfoot was here. 1/2 inch yet? icey bush looking down the street the Libby peeking out on the left. I've seen bigger the AJC must get through!Temps hovering just under freezing and the 'stuff' is still coming down. Hey Yellow Jacket, you still wanna go Starhopping? |

oddly enough, there's nearly nothing on the trees here. The roads are getting sleeted upon, but not too badly. I just haven't decided that it's worth it to leave the house.

Nice pix JB!
I'm going stir crazy, having withdrawl symptoms.... It's terrible. Looks like I'll be puttering around the house doing all those little chores I'd been putting off... ~erik~ |

I've gotta get outta this cabin! I've been sitting here for 3 hours trying to figure out some of KVOM's puzzle caches. Musical Theory, & the Celestial series have me going nuts! I'm just a bricklayer, by golly. How would you like it if I hid a cache based on higher masonry knowledge. Don't tempt me!

----------------------------------------------- 4-wheel drive with chains doesn't even mean jack on ice. Guess you've never lived outside the south If it was snow, you'd have a point. But NOTHING moves on ice... except maybe a pair of speed skates ----------------------------------------------- Back in the "old days" up north (early 70's) you could get tungsten studded snow tires - tires plugged with about 300 steel spikes, and you could drive safely and surely on greased glass if you wanted. But they did about $6 gazzillion worth of roadway damage before they were outlawed. They wore ruts on the Interstates. |

I guy I know just posted pics of his built jeep upside down on a 400 overpass. Good thing he had a cage.

That's funny!
I'll have to see if I can log that one. Maybe I'll use it for a stage of 'Event Horizon'. - - 4 legs good - 2 legs bad! - Animal Farm |

Remind me again, who are the lodge guys?
redworm already placed a micro near my neighbors driveway so you might not get approved for mine. The flipped Jeep pics were kinda scary. I just got back from a bone chilling walk down to Ansley Mall w/ Maggie, dropping her off at LA Fitness. Things are half frozen and slippery to walk but the cars are getting around OK. She's going to call me for a pickup later and I'll sure crank up the Libby this time! |

And for posting on the internet it does fine, sometimes.
